We can practise the « farniente » there by eating fruit of the garden around the swimming pool, or play petanque in the yard .
But for those who prefer more dynamic holidays there are many other possible activities :
Discover
the region: we are just a step from the Natural reserve of the
Camargue, Alpilles, and not very far from the Cassis's Calanques and
the mountain Sainte Victoire.
Numerous
tourist places are near: : the Baux de Provence, Fontvieille
(Daudet's mill), Arles (amphitheatre and Roman monuments) St Rémy
de Provence, or a little further Avignon ( the bridge, the Pope's
palace), Nîmes (roman amphitheatre, Bridge of the Gard..)
Aigues-Mortes, Uzès...
Discover
the Nature:
observations of natural sites in the Swamp of Vigueirat (Mas Thibert
12 km) and in the Domain of the Palissade (Giraud's Salt pan 35 km)
Cultural activities: the festival of Avignon in July remains inescapable, quite as the Aix-en-Provence's one for the music lovers. In summer the region has many diverse cultural events.
Sport
: tennis in the hamlet of Moulès, Golf on the course of
Servanes and of the Baux de Provence etc., Riding in the riding
schools of the place. There are various circuits of mountain bike
and hike in the Alpilles and for the beginners the Camargue and the
Crau are very flat.
The Sea : the beaches of the Salins de Giraud, Saintes-Maries de la Mer are at about one hour's drive.
There is a very wide choice.
It is obvious that none of these activities are organized by the Mas of the Dovecote nore are of its responsibility. It is only a question of informing you about the possible activities in the region. It is to the tenants to inquire about the required conditions of admission.
